What Marks Us?
This little writing is from a few experts out of this month’s class videos. I pray it is blessing and encouragement.
"How wonderful would that be to live in oneness with the real King? Well, it's heaven on earth to the wife of the Lamb. Even in the middle of a fiery trial, even when we lose our life because of it. What a joy to be a part of that Kingdom. Father, we thank you for enthroning the Lamb, and for all the reasons for which you exalted Him and made Him Lord. Jesus, thank you for bearing the marks of God’s nature of love as it manifested in this realm down here. Those who pierced You, beautified You because of the love that poured out of You towards them. Those scars are still upon You, even upon the Lamb who is on the throne. And they're not ugly. Jesus, they are a most beautiful representation of You being with Your Father, … Your King through it all. They are marks of love, … kingdom marks. Paul had them at the end of his life as he bore the marks of Jesus in his body (Galatians 6:17). The marks of our Lord Jesus. He bore them with such joy. Paul was marked by the Lamb and the fellowship He shared with Him in His suffering. Paul bore the Lord's dying in his own body (II Corinthians 10:4). Father, thank you.
Oh God, let our lives be marked by the Lamb. Let our lives be marked by this slain Lamb-King and His Kingdom in us. Let us not be marked by injustice, hurt, regrets, shame and things of the kingdom of self that You've already put away through Your death. Let us be marked by You as we walk through this awesome time period while we are still on earth choosing Your kingdom from a free will by love. Holy Spirit, move according to the heart of the Father; according to the will of His Son. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen."
