We Are Flying To Ireland In A Couple of Days!   Hallelujah!

Dear Jesus Family,

This Thursday, July 7th, I will be flying to Ireland with the Sonrise Team of Young Adults for their outreach/retreat.   Then, on July 16th the Adult Group will be flying into Ireland for our annual Pray and Get-Away Retreat/Conference.  It has been over three years since we have been able to travel to Ireland due to the pandemic, and it is with deep gratefulness to the Lord that we now travel.  Some who have longed to go to Ireland this year are unable to go, while others stay back to care for the things back home.  Whether we stay or whether we go... we are one.  We are doing this together in His one Heart and Life.  Please know this outreach of the Lord's Life is all of ours together.  We need you, each of you.  Your faith, prayers, financial gifts, love, and covering are vital to the Lord being sent forth.  In fact... we need your prayers!  There is a picture below of the Young Adults team... you may want to look at it to remember each one of these precious ones in your prayers these coming days.  If you click on their picture below you will hear them share a little about their outreach drama and what it means to them in the Lord.

In spirit and heart, the trips have already started in earnest.  Our faith is pressing in to be in tune with the Lord's desires and needs for our time with Him in Ireland.  We also remain vigilant and alert to "expect the unexpected" and be with the Lord in all that is to come on very practical levels in regards to traveling and world situations.  Once again, your prayers are needed and deeply appreciated.   

There is so much more I could say, but time is of the essence now and I need to pack for this trip!  Please know how much you mean to the Lord and all of us.  You are loved and appreciated.  Jesus truly is in you and we rejoice together in His Life.

Awake, O Zion...
 
Can we hear the heart of God crying out to us, “Awake, awake; … put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city… Shake thyself from the dust; arise and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion” (Isaiah 52:1a-2).

In these verses we hear a passionate plea from God that requires a passionate response on the part of those who have ears to hear.  

What is the source of this this great cry?  What has stirred the heart of the Spirit to beseech Zion to respond so profoundly?

Several verses that follow in that same chapter might give us a clue:
“The Lord hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God” (Isaiah 52:10).
 
Verse 13, “BEHOLD, my servant...”

Verse 14, “As many were astonished at thee, his visage was so marred...”

And it continues.  Isaiah 53:1,“Who hath believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord unveiled?”

To Awake, Shake… remove our chains and then become clothed in Christ, we must first focus our gaze on the unveiled slaughtered Lamb.

Who will have their eyes awakened by the Spirit of God to see the unveiled Lamb so deeply that it shakes us, awake us, lift us up, cleans us out, clothes us and sits us down in heavenly places in Christ Jesus? 

Let it be me, Lord.  Let it be us.

"Awake O Zion" is our song for this month and comes from the Young Adults' Musical. I would like to thank Mallory Patrick for her flute playing and Scot Moore for his vocal harmonies. May the Word of God in music form encourage your heart!
